During the Fur Trade time period, most fort inhabitants carried knives. Knives would often have leather sheaths that were decorated with beads in elaborate Northern Plains style patterns.
The Butcher-style knife has an 8" blade and features a natural wood handle and rounded blade. Our current butcher-style knife has a beech handle and 3 large brass pins.
The Kitchen knife has a red-painted wood handle and pointed tip.
